How Printzy works is straightforward: walk up to the kiosk, scan the QR code with your phone, upload your file, pay per page, and collect your print — usually in under a minute. No shop visit, no account sign-up, and no staff handing your file to a stranger behind a counter.
This guide walks through each step so you know exactly what to expect before your first print.
Step 1: Scan the kiosk QR code
Printzy kiosks are phone-first — no app download required for the basic flow. Open your phone camera, scan the QR code on the kiosk, and follow the link to upload your document.
If you are new to self-service kiosks, think of it like an ATM for printing: you initiate the session on your phone, choose what you need, and the machine handles the rest.
Step 2: Upload your document
Select the file you want to print from your phone. PDFs, assignments, forms, and standard document formats are supported. Choose your settings — black & white or colour, single or duplex — before confirming.
Your file is transferred over an encrypted connection. Printzy does not keep a copy after your job completes.
Step 3: Pay and confirm
Pay per page through a secure payment gateway on your phone. You see the cost before you confirm — no surprise charges. Pricing is ₹3 per page.
Step 4: Collect your print
Enter your pickup code on the kiosk keypad. Once payment is confirmed, your document prints. Most jobs finish in under 60 seconds. Grab your pages from the output tray and you are done.
After printing completes, your file is automatically deleted from the system. Nobody downloads it to a shop computer, and no staff handles your document.
What you do not need
- No account or sign-up
- No trip to the campus gate or local Xerox shop
- No waiting for shop hours — kiosks are built for 24/7 access where deployed
- No handing sensitive files to a third party
- No shared touchscreen — upload and pay happen on your phone
What if something goes wrong?
If a print fails, do not re-upload blindly. Note the kiosk location, time, and what happened on your phone, then reach out through our contact page. Support processes improve as the Printzy network grows.
Want to run Printzy in your area?
Printzy is offered as a franchise. Franchisees receive the kiosk hardware, software, brand, onboarding, and ongoing support to run self-service QR printing in a defined area. Learn how the model works on the Franchise page, or contact us to enquire.
